(3ft x 3ft) $1500 – Though Florida is known for hosting many varieties of sea turtle nests Southwest Florida is mainly known for loggerhead turtles. This is the turtle I have painted. In our community the nests are protected and there are volunteer groups that help watch them. I’ve personally never seen a sea turtle swimming in the open waters but I have encountered the nests. I myself have also helped many a turtle cross the street to get to the other side 😊 Though never a loggerhead.
